Cruise Control - Progression Customizer (XP and Economy) - 0.7.19-Ready
Cruise Control lets you change how quickly Motor Town rewards your time. One readable Lua config controls career XP, job pay, operating costs, fuel use, tire wear, cargo, company income, and trade values.
Validated on Motor Town 0.7.19, Steam build 24441068, on Windows.

Yes, this project was built with heavy AI assistance, because reverse-engineering a game and writing runtime hooks from scratch is not how I wanted to spend my free time. I am not a professional developer, but I know how to read code, and I know how to build with AI.
If AI-assisted code violates your personal moral code, just close the tab. I have absolutely zero interest in reading an angry manifesto or debating the ethics of machine generation with you.
The complete source code is fully available in the GitHub repository. Go there to inspect it, audit it, or tinker with it yourself if you want to do things the hard way.

Motor Town's charming world, working turn indicators, and relaxed roleplay make me feel like a kid playing with Hot Wheels again. I don't have the hours its default progression expects, but I still want to experience the faster cars, larger trucks, and later parts of the game.

This mod is all about multipliers. You decide what should move faster, cost less, or remain close to the original game.
• Multiply core income from taxi, ambulance, bus, and cargo work.
• Adjust Driver, Taxi, Bus, Truck, Racer, Wrecker, and Police XP separately.
• Change vehicle delivery, box trailer, towing, rescue, and cargo rewards.
• Tune fuel, tire wear, rentals, roadside services, company costs, and trade values.
• Start with a curated preset or customize every supported multiplier yourself.
At its core, the mod is two Lua files. It changes progression math at runtime without replacing game assets, editing saves directly, removing level requirements, or modifying the UI.

You'll need UE4SS. The All-in-One download includes it; the Mod-Only download expects UE4SS to already be installed and working.
Prefer to source UE4SS yourself?
If you've got trust issues and would rather source the loader and DLL yourself, I understand. Use the official UE4SS project or its official releases page.
Quick installation
• Download and extract the All-in-One ZIP.
• Exit Motor Town.
• Double-click Install.bat.

Once the mod is installed, choose a preset or customize Config.lua yourself.
Choose a preset
Open:
Pick a preset, copy it over Scripts\Config.lua, and restart Motor Town. The included collection covers gentle, moderate, strong, extreme, realistic, sandbox, low-cost, and career-focused play.
Truck_Fast_Track.lua uses 500x economy, 1000x Driver and Truck XP, 500x key trucking payments, free supported fuel and service costs, quarter fuel use and tire wear, and doubled job-income XP conversion.
Customize it yourself
Exit the game and open:
• Numeric values may range from 0 through 1000, including decimals.
• Keep return { at the top, } at the bottom, and a comma after every setting.
• 0 may make a supported cost free or stop a supported reward entirely.

Compatibility and multiplayer
• This mod was made for single-player. Multiplayer is untested and unsupported. If you take it online and get banned, tough shit. You were warned.
• Don't combine it with older economy, racing, or XP multiplier PAKs.
• It changes progression math. It does not remove level or purchase requirements, reveal hidden vehicles, enlarge garages, add company slots, or change cargo compatibility.
• Motor Town updates can move things around, so recheck compatibility after every game update.
Make sure it loaded

Look for:
Repeated CruiseControl table retry lines mean the mod did not finish applying. Staring harder will not help.
Uninstall
• Exit Motor Town.
• Run Uninstall.bat.
• For a manual uninstall, delete ue4ss\Mods\CruiseControlProgressionCustomizer and remove CruiseControlProgressionCustomizer : 1 from ue4ss\Mods\mods.txt.
• Keep UE4SS if another installed mod uses it.
