FS25: Dynamic Pastures are Officially Coming!
Today brings exciting news from Germany, where the latest Farming Simulator magazine dropped early, giving fans a look at some upcoming features in Farming Simulator 25. These updates aren’t leaks or rumors, just a bit of information released ahead of schedule. Let’s dive into some of the biggest highlights! Dynamic Pastures One of the most exciting reveals is the introduction of Dynamic Pastures. Instead of bringing feed to grazing animals, players can now take cows, sheep, and other animals to meadows and let them graze on fresh grass. Dynamic Pastures allow players to set up fences on any large grass field or meadow they own, creating a natural feeding system. For those playing with Seasons activated, animals will need to be brought back to their stables during winter and provided with stored food until spring. This much-requested feature is a game-changer, bringing more realism and depth to animal husbandry in FS25. New Brands and Equipment The magazine also confirms several new brands. In addition to familiar names like MacDon, which will offer header and rake options through DLC, we’ll also see Pitts for timber transport and Stema for vehicle transport. The cultivator brand Summers is also joining the lineup. Notably, the flatbed trailer and roller brand Brandt and Geringhoff are being introduced, expanding the equipment options even further. Giants Software continues to push for variety in equipment, ensuring players have plenty of choice when customizing their farms. Farming Simulator 22 Mods · October 30, 2024 Giants Software presented the Hutan Pantai Map. As we know, the map is inspired by Asian-style cities and has some details about this region. DjGoHam made an overview and revealed mode information, what is coming, and what features we need to know about the map. The most interesting thing he mentioned is the Farmers Coffee sign in one of the pictures. We are unsure, but maybe we will have a coffee shop or selling points on the map. It is unusual, and we didn’t have something before. It can be released with some DLC for Farming Simulator 25. The map looks very detailed, with lots of Temple buildings, and the new game engine makes the textures and colors more realistic. The new engine also improves the lighting of dark streets, with much better graphics and a deeper image that creates more realism. The map trailer shows many signs on the buildings, which look very similar to the streets of the Asian region. Here, we can see amazing water texture and buildings you can build in some areas. Don’t forget farming! You will find an OXBO harvester to collect your green beans. Also, you can notice that fields are near the port. We could transport your harvest by ship. Farming Simulator 25: Hutan Pantai Map Trailer Today, Giants Software announced the second map: the Hutan Pantai trailer, and we are ready to overview it. We have seen this map in previous videos, but we have a more detailed video with more information about how the Asiam map will look. The map trailer looks very different from others and is unrelated to farming, but let’s focus on the area and Asian-style city. Let’s see what we can expect to have in Farming Simulator 25. Hutan Pantai will have many temples on the map, including bridges. As is known, we may be able to use the construction project to restore some of them. Also, the Giants mentioned that we would be building some of the temple areas. Farmers Coffe You can see APE50 coming down to the mountain road near Farmers Coffee on the right side. Asia is one of the coffee distributors, so can we expect coffee to come to Farming Simulator 25? Or maybe the TUK TUK will be in the game, too? FellowShip – selling point? We can expect that this ship could be a selling point or work like a train. You would set it up and then transport your goodies. There is a small Waterway here, which looks nice with the cherry trees The city is quite large, and this is another shot from a different angle into the main city here. We have pans, cake, and good soup signs on the roofs of buildings, and those small details make the map more Asian. I think this is the area we’ll be able to build up, and these buildings will be different from the ones we saw at the beginning of the trailer. The town details show we will have peas, green beans, or spinach, with rice fields behind these houses. The Oxbo green bean harvester runs in the fields, and the port is on the other side of the city. Does it mean that we can transport your harvest from the port? Or port just works as a selling point? Farming Simulator 25 Baling technology
Farming Simulator 25 Baling technology Baling technology, collection, and transportation Baling technology includes many different things, but they’re all focused on the same thing – taking hay, straw, or grass and turning them into wrapped bales. It all starts with the simple process of cutting your grass: after turning it into straw or hay, it can be collected into different machinery depending on what you are cutting. You can choose from loading wagons, forage harvesters with a special heading, or, in this case – a baler. Bales are the most convenient option for storage, loading, and transport. One bale has a capacity of 4,000 liters and can be easily stacked, usually cubes or cylinders. So, it’s no surprise that many FS25 choose baling technology as their primary choice. In this article, we will talk about three main things: Baling machinery Bale collection Bale transportation Let’s see what machines you should use and how everything works. Baling machinery In FS25, these are the three machines that are best suited for bale making: KUHN LSB 1290 D – this KUHN baler is used to make square bales. Such bales are the best for being picked up with a loading wagon. New Holland Roll-Belt 150. This baler is much less efficient, but it’s an okay option if you’re looking to make cylindrical bales. KUHN FBP 3135 – this baler is an excellent option because of its additional features. For one, it can place the bale at the back of the vehicle and not on the ground. Also, the bales can be unloaded two at a time, making the whole collection process much faster. You can also automatically wrap your bales, meaning they’ll turn to silage in just 24 hours. If you want to make silage but don’t want to buy the KUHN or are already using a different machine, get yourself a KUHN SW 4014. It wraps square and cylindrical bales as they are placed on the ground. Bale collection Once your bales are made, you will need to collect them. These are the best options for collecting cubical bales: Arcusin ForStack 8.12 machine allows you to pick up to three bales and unload them at any spot in a vertical stack. It’s a very neat experience that lets you store things efficiently. It’s good for smaller farms. Arcusin FSX 63.72 – this is a better option for large farms. It can pick up to 16 bales and easily unload them to a semi-trailer. If you have a big farm, this model is a real-time saver. The same applies to storing the bales as well. If you choose to use cylindrical bales, these are your top options: Fliegl Schmetterling – this is our top pick for FS25. This Fliegl simply attaches to your tractor and lets you transport a cylindrical bale wherever you want. The bales can also get squeezed, making transportation easier and more reliable. From personal experience, just like in real life, this takes some time to master. But when you do, it works wonderfully with KUHN FBP 3135, letting you unload two bales nearby. Front loader attachments – not wheel loaders, but front loaders, have wheel attachments that let you easily collect and load bales. You can choose from attachments with rollers that easily pick up cylindrical bales and handlers that work on both bales. You can pick up two bales simultaneously, the same attachment works fine with pallets. Bale transportation You can choose from a wide selection of trailers to transport bales. A Strautmann SEK 802 is the cheapest pick and is great for a small farm because it efficiently moves fewer bales. If you have a bigger operation, an option like a Fliegl DPW 210 is great. It’s a cage trailer, meaning you can stack many bales without worrying about accidentally falling while loading and moving. It works on just about any vehicle. Just make sure you have enough power. Of course, this trailer can transport pallets as well. For a bit of a wildcard, we suggest a Stepa FHL 13 AK. It can be found in the Forestry Equipment category, but it’s good for bales, as there’s an undercarriage for cylindrical bales and a very functional gripping claw. Finally, a low-bed trailer such as a Goldhofer STZ-VP 3 massively reduces the weight center of your carriage, reducing the chances of the bales falling off. Farming Simulator 25 – Riverbend Springs map (Part 1) With the release of the pre-FarmCon24 stream (3rd July), we have a lot more information and stunning visuals from in-game footage. The map landscape shows roads, rivers, fields, and forest paths in the latest FarmCon gameplay. A new map-inspired North America is coming with Farming Simulator 25 on November 12. Map developers have shared some details about interactive buildings on the map, which makes the game even more realistic by adding farmer’s markets, interactive shelves, and small selling stands with amazing interior textures. These buildings are not just decorative objects on the map but have a specific use. For example, the new Riverbend Springs map has buildings that you can rebuild through construction orders, such as: Farmer market Interactive shelf Small selling stands Buildable farmhouses New fences The interactive buildings will offer new features for the modding community. Giants Software has confirmed that FS25 will have the most modding-friendly engine to create new mods. This means that modders have more flexibility to create and share their buildings for the maps. The new objects and interactive buildings will allow the creation of various mods that personalize the game or map. These interactive buildings show that Giants Sofware made big game changes to improve the gaming experience in Farming Simulator 25. The game becomes more realistic and offers more variety of specific farmer buildings. Farmer’s market Talking about one of the new features coming to the game, a farmer’s market. We don’t know if this will be available on every map, but we are sure that modders can put it there since the feature will be available, at least on the US map. The farmer’s market will have an interior with interactive shelves and small selling stands. If you go inside of it, you will see plenty of little areas, interactive stands, and stuff like that to sell your products. When you sell goodies, they will show up in the baskets. It’ll be cool to see some fill levels in some baskets and stuff like that as you drop more goods. What is more, we have a selling stand which you can see kind of out by the road, so we have a lot of cool stuff coming with. This will be a nice feature, but there is no information on how it will work. Map environment Dynamic weather changes the game fundamentally. Realistic weather effects, such as lightning in the sky, heavy rain, and the effects of the weather on the landscape, make the game even more impressive. These weather conditions add new challenges and difficulties to growing and caring for crops. Heavy rain will bring muddy patches with puddles, making the ground softer and more difficult to drive. Dynamic ground deformation is a visual improvement and changes the gameplay. Heavy machines such as tractors, harvesters, or trailers can deform the ground, creating realistic field ruts. Wet tires and muddy fields also affect your ability to work with the machine. This is a new twist on the Farming Simulator 25 game, requiring players to adapt their work on the field to the weather conditions. New trees, bushes, grass, and ground texture will change nature. Small Productions The second very new feature is small production or mini-production units. So these will work just like the production system, but there might be some new productions because we know we will get some new productions for the game, and we don’t necessarily know what any of those will be. If you’ve ever used the yard production pack, you used to be called The Farm production pack until they released the DLC, but Omana has a mod out called the Yard production pack, and it has mini-factories that are perfect for your farm. Your farm doesn’t have to invest in a large-scale factory. These kinds of concepts of small production units will be able to produce the same things that the large Productions can do, like the typical ones that we are used to seeing. We believe that you’re not going to produce as much, but it’s also not going to be as much of an upfront cost to get going. It’s kind of a way to be able to get some Productions going to mix stuff around your farm in a more kind of realistic way instead of, well, most Farmers probably aren’t building full-size factories or buying full-size factories to make milk or milk products, and stuff like that. By the way, Sawmill products are what you would normally see in the game, so most Farms don’t have the capital to invest in them, and I think this is what this is kind of tackling. So, instead of buying a massive factory, mini-factories will take up less room, and it will be slightly more realistic regarding how it works out. Rice fields in the map The three gameplay videos from FarmCon show two different types of rice on the US Map and the machinery needed to grow and harvest them. It means you must plant rice and collect ripened plants to grow rice fields in the game. Rice fields must be flooded with water to support the plants’ growth. Also, you will face new challenges when crossing the field, and the bumps in the clay will make it much more difficult to drive. New crops, such as spinach and rice, and a first-ever East Asian map are also included. Water is now calculated dynamically, and the new GIANTS engine update should ensure more realistic graphics. Grain Gains: Rice Cultivation in Farming Simulator 25
Here’s the thing about rice in Farming Simulator 25: not all rice is created equal. There are actually two distinct types, long grain rice and the standard “rice.” Let’s dive in and explore the key differences between them! Rice Types Rice and long grain rice each require different water levels, specialized machines for sowing and harvesting, and, naturally, different seeds. Unlike regular rice, long grain rice isn’t sown in water. Instead, the paddy for long grain rice is flooded after the seeds are sown, not before. But let’s take it from the top! Rice Paddies Both types of rice are planted, or sown, in rice paddies, fields specifically designed with deeper ground to retain water. This means you’ll need an open area on your land for proper setup. Using the build menu, you can start the creation process. Instead of simply placing a standard field, you have the flexibility to shape it into any size or form you prefer. Rice Greenhouses This step is optional, you can either purchase saplings directly from the dealership or construct a specialized greenhouse dedicated to cultivating rice saplings. If your goal is to boost rice production, growing your own saplings is a smart investment. Planting & Harvesting Rice Here’s the equipment you’ll need to plant and harvest rice: a tractor, a cultivator, a specialized rice planter, a harvester, and a trailer. You’ll also want to have some lime on hand for the final stages. Rice fields come pre-limed when you create them, so there’s no need to apply it at the start. Activate the water pump to flood the field, then plant your saplings. The rice planter also handles fertilization, so there’s no need for a separate fertilizer spreader as you would with other crops. The pump will automatically supply the right amount of water, but be sure to check it daily to maintain proper levels, otherwise, you risk losing seedlings and yield. By the end of the growth cycle, the thirsty plants will have absorbed all the water. Once the rice is mature, you can harvest it and choose whether to sell it, store it, or process it into other products. To plant another batch, apply lime to the field and cultivate the paddy after harvesting. Lime is only required after several harvests, so be sure to check the field info to see when it’s needed! Sowing & Harvesting Long Grain Rice For long grain rice, there’s no need for water during the sowing process. It’s planted dry. Simply fill your seeder with seeds and begin sowing row by row until the entire paddy is covered. After sowing, you’ll flood the field and maintain different water levels throughout the growth stages. Don’t worry, the pump will automatically provide the right amount of water. Just be sure to check the pump daily to keep the levels steady, or you risk losing some of your rice saplings. Once the rice is ready to harvest and has soaked up all the fresh water, it’s time to get to work! Just hop into your harvester, a standard combine with a grain header will do the trick. You can sell the harvested rice, store it, or process it further at select production plants. But we’re not finished yet! To prepare for the next batch, apply lime to the field and use a cultivator to refresh the paddy for the next planting. Growth Stages

Twister Alert: A Storm Brews Over Farmland On a serene night, as the children of tomorrow drift into dreams, farmers may sense the winds shifting. A mild twister is expected to touch down in a few areas. While it shouldn’t be too intense, it’s always smart to take precautions and secure any exposed bales, just to be safe. Hail’s On Its Way: Farmers Prepare as Bales Roll In Hail is also in the forecast, but the good news is that these brief disruptions will soon give way to clear skies. The sun will be shining brightly again in no time, and the weather will return to calm and sunny conditions before you know it. Keep an Eye on the Crops: Trees and Bales on Alert After the storm passes, local farmers are urged to inspect their fields for any damage and assess the impact on their crops. While weather enthusiasts might watch the spectacle from a safe distance, farmers must remain vigilant, as even minor weather events can destroy a portion of their yield. In Riverbend Springs, we spoke with David, a 36-year-old novice farmer: “When I saw other farmers hurrying to prepare, I didn’t think much of it. I’m still new to this,” he admitted. Unfortunately, his inexperience cost him dearly. David lost nearly half of his crops on a small plot and all the bales he left unprotected. “Even my shed got damaged,” he added, clearly disheartened by the situation. Other, more experienced farmers fared better, with larger fields suffering less severe losses. Meanwhile, the local lumberjack of Riverbend Springs was unavailable for comment, focused on tending to fallen trees affected by the storm. “Some of us have essential work to do. I strongly advise against leaving any litter behind as you leave the forest.” Sunrise Serenity: A New Day, A Fresh Start Instead, we caught up with retired farmer Walter, who offered his thoughts on the recent weather shifts. “Good weather always follows bad, sooner or later,” says the 72-year-old, pondering the changing conditions. “But that thick fog? Get Ready for Goat Farming: New Livestock in FS25
In Farming Simulator 22, we generated excitement by introducing bees to boost yields with the help of pollination. For Farming Simulator 25, we took a step back to reconsider the animal pens. Which animals were we missing? Worms? Bears? Dragons? Unfortunately, those didn’t make the final cut, nor did Pink River Dolphins, Echidnas, or Leprechauns. But after reviewing both your feedback and our own wish list, we thought, “Alright, we goat this, GIANTS Software!” So, we seized the opportunity and created something truly goatally awesome: Water buffalos! But let’s not beat around the bush, you’re already familiar with the water buffalo. If not, be sure to check out the Water Buffalo Preview for more info. Alongside this powerful animal from Southeast Asia, we wanted to offer livestock owners another exciting option. That’s right, farmers, we goat your back! The Road to Goat: FS25’s Journey to New Livestock Getting goats just right is no easy task, and the most challenging aspects were their legs and those unique rectangular pupils. At one point, we nearly created a Dahu by mistake, a mythical creature! You can ask Katie for the full story. Wait, who’s Katie? You’ll find out soon enough. One wrong adjustment on the sliders, and suddenly we had a creature with uneven legs—a fantasy beast! Once we got the legs sorted and sent the Dahu back to its mythical realm (or did we?), our team of 2D and 3D artists worked tirelessly on perfecting the pupils. All so these magnificent animals could do what they do best – stare. Next, our artists and programmers worked on creating anatomically accurate goats at various stages of development, from newborns to adults, so you can fully enjoy one of the most highly anticipated farm animals! But before we introduce you to the adorable baby goats, here are some fun facts about real-life goats. Goats? Great!
