Squid, a ToB Album Radio Pack
Fourteen songs about malfunctioning humans, emotional manipulation, bureaucratic nonsense, defective social machinery, and the occasional amphibian. From gaslighting and conditional affection to corporate brain damage and socially successful skeletons, T.oB explores the strange business of being human while surrounded by people who seem to have misplaced the instruction manual. Absurd, confrontational, darkly funny, and occasionally sincere, SQUID asks some important questions: Who put this person in charge? Why is my brain holding a staff meeting? And why are frogs so much better at being people than people? T.oB was conceived in 2016 as a project by songwriter Chris Bartlett aka PugXXL. For 40 years, he continues to write and record his songs at home as time allows and now uses AI to create versions of these songs for an alternative listening experience. He continues to hone his craft in Florida, in between answering support calls for a software company and while avoiding thunderstorms and hurricanes as often as possible.
