Previous soundproofing 2025JUL11 New in this version: – Reconfigured soundproofing for the 2022 Kenworth T680 now that its engine sound is more balanced in game update 1.55. – Minor adjustments to the soundproofing for the International 9900i (closer to vanilla game setting). – Repacked with 1.55 SCS Game Archive Packer, which should result in better performance in 1.55. This mod brings back a similar soundproofing from 1.42 for ATS default trucks affected by the 1.43 interior cabin sound update. With this mod you get a comfortable experience, with outside sounds including the engine more quiet when the windows are closed. Features: Stops in-cab sounds from being louder than when the camera is outside and next to the engine. Reduces the excess reverb in the cabin. Lowers sound volume of high pitch sounds such as turbo when windows are closed. More info: You can enable this mod with low priority in the Mod Manager if you want. Modders are welcome to use the baseline settings provided in this mod for sound_effects_units.sui Tip: Do not stray too far in increasing gain values, because it may affect all sounds such as traffic and ambient sounds. Newer License Plates 1.1 Place at a high priority in mod manager. Works with any map mod! All 48 mainland states now have updated license plates from the year 2025. NO MAP MODS REQUIRED FOR THIS MOD TO WORK. I created this mod for American Truck Simulator because seeing outdated 1990s-2000s license plates in-game was really bothering me. It’s 2025—most people don’t drive around with those anymore! After weeks of learning how to mod and developing this project, I’m proud to share the final product. I’ll be reading every comment on the Steam Workshop, so if you have complaints, questions, or suggestions, bring them on! I’m also planning future updates, including removing front license plates for states that don’t require them. Thanks for checking it out, and happy trucking!
