Pacific P-500F Truck v1.0.2 Mod

Changelogs 1.0.2 – support for event rewards up to Valentines 2026 – support for Bobcat DLC – support for Driving Academy ‘Frankie’ reward – revised Wheel Pack compatibility Description: Pacific is one of the more notable former Canadian truck manufacturers, having a worldwide reputation for robust trucks in logging, oilfield, and a number of other demanding applications. The model P-500F comes from an interesting period in Pacific’s history where they were owned by International Harvester. It was made from about 1974 to 1981. A keen eye will notice that the cab on this model is shared with IH’s Paystar conventionals of the time. Some of the things that made the P-500 series remarkable in the on/off-highway market were robust construction, serviceability and exceptional ground clearance. While it’s quite a climb into the cab, the view is impressively commanding and even the most basic-spec Pacific trucks had interior trim rivaling other manufacturers’ premium offerings. This mod hopes to capture some of that majesty.

The difference in sales numbers is very telling, with over 7000 351’s being sold 1954-1976 vs 847 350’s 1949-1957. It’s fairly safe to say that the 351 was the model that really drove Peterbilt conventionals to the success they continue to enjoy. This mod seeks to recapture some of the magic of this pivotal truck model, including one of its iconic movie appearances! Helpful Hints: Pay careful attention when configuring the chassis, engine, and transmission. The standard chassis use double reduction rear axles (Rockwell SLDD) and so only slow ratios are available (4.68 to 5.90). This is best suited to the more ‘vintage’ engine selections by trading off speed for more torque at the wheels. There are also chassis with Hendrickson RS or Stabilaire suspension and SQHD rears (ratios 3.70 to 4.63) which pair well with more recent engines.
